Florida to Puerto Rico typically takes 4–7 days of sailing plus 1–2 days for customs clearance. From the Northeast, plan for 7–10 days total. Delays are possible during peak season (August–October) or hurricane season.
You’ll need the original title, a notarized Power of Attorney, and a valid photo ID. We handle the ISF-5 filing, EPA-3520 form, and Puerto Rico DOT Form 4802 on your behalf.

U.S.-registered vehicles pay no import duty. Non-U.S. vehicles are subject to a 6.6% duty — we provide exact calculations before shipping so there are no surprises at the port.
Puerto Rico collects an excise tax on vehicles arriving on the island, based on the vehicle’s assessed value. This tax is paid by the customer directly at the Port of San Juan, not through DQ Trans — we’ll walk you through the process so it’s not a surprise on pickup day.
Our primary port is San Juan (PRIZ). Ponce and Mayagüez are served as secondary ports, and island-wide delivery is available to all 78 municipalities for an additional fee.
